On Monday, 19th October 2020, the fifth “Disability Awareness” training for employers was held as part of the “Your career is waiting – get ready!” project. The training was attended by employees of the Education Support Fund, as well as employees of the non-profit organization EPIC and an intern.
Due to the conditions with respect to the Covid-19 pandemic, the training was done partly online and in person, at the premises of the Education Support Fund. A total of 10 participants lively discussed and responded to the information on the facts with respect to the employment of people with disabilities, pointing on the practical examples, including their positive and negative experience. Some of the participants attended the training with such a theme for the 1st time, therefore it has been highly appreciated.
“Disability Awareness training” offered by the non-profit organization EPIC is free of charge. We are currently preparing trainings for the employers in Czech Republic and we´re planning to train at least 5 employers.
The training can be completed in person or online in English or Slovak language. At the end of the training, participants receive a handbook on awareness about the employment of citizens with various disabilities, full of important facts, as well as a certificate of training completion certified by the non-profit organization EPIC.
We thank the participants from the Education Support Fund and the rest of the participants for sharing knowledge about the topic, enriching discussion, time and interest in the training.
