In early March 2020, EPIC Central European Coordinator Eva Havelková visited EPIC ASSIST in Brisbane, Australia. Unfortunately, due to the worldwide advancing coronavirus pandemic, it was necessary to shorten this business stay and all planned activities as well.

Nevertheless, within a few days, a significant part of the scheduled activities and events have been realized.  Eva visited several EPIC ASSIST offices in Queensland, Australia, met and discussed EPIC ASSIST’s new top management to discuss the strategic goals, objectives and outcomes of the EPIC in Europe. She was able also to present the crucial results and projects at the Board of Trusties meeting.

During the 2-day meeting of the Board of Trusties lead by Mr. Donald, held on the Gold Coast Queensland, Eva had the opportunity to present the projects and activities of EPIC branches in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

Members of the Board of Trusties also have touched on the future activities of the EPIC ASSIST CHARITY in Edinburgh, Scotland, as this branch will also be part of the Central European Coordinator’s portfolio.

An important issue of the agenda and a broad discussion were dedicated to the possible EPIC consequences of negative events for the previous in Australia – the worst bushfires, subsequent extensive flooding and the current coronavirus global pandemic. EPIC ASSIST top managment togheter with the Board of Trusties will have to deeply analyze overal situation and look for the effective feasible solutions to keep EPIC healthy and to stabilize it for the future.
