New project focused on social innovation in cooperation with British Council

In November, EPIC is starting a cooperation with British Council on Interventions in the Social Development strand under the “People-to-People Central Europe” Project focused on social innovation. In the upcoming months, we will be engaging in discussions and workshops with stakeholders from different regions, communities and demographic groups. In cooperation with Slovak and foreign social economy and innovation experts we will be striving to support social innovation infrastructure building at the grassroot level.

Meeting with the Minister of Education

During his visit to Slovakia, Keith Martin, General Manager of International Services at EPIC Assist (Australia) met with Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic Martina Lubyová. They discussed possible cooperation between EPIC non-profit organization and the ministry. They put emphasis on vocational education and lifelong learning as meaningful areas of potential cooperation.

 

Meeting of EPIC Slovakia, Czech Republic and Scotland with Australian leadership

In November, Brother Donald Campbell, President of the Board of Directors of EPIC Assist and Keith Martin, General Manager of International Services visited Europe. During the meeting with representatives of European offices, they discussed activities and successes of the past year and together they determined goals for the future.

 

Networking night

On November 19th, EPIC participated at a networking event for students at FIIT STU together with our partners from All4Youth and Future Generation Europe. Many participants stopped by our stall and we are pleased by the interest among young people in activities of our organization and important societal topics.
